Berenice Marlohe was born in Paris, France in May 1979. She attended the Conservatoire de Paris for ten years. The actress made her debut in 2007 in the drama La discordance. In 2010, she played part in Medical Emergency. She has played in French shows on television. Her most well-known character was as the villainous Bond actress Severine in the twenty-third James Bond film Skyfall. In addition, she appeared in films such as Happiness Never Comes Alone (1998) and 5 to 7 (1998). She has appeared in the TV series Pas de secrets entre nous, Femmes de loi, Le temps est a l'orage, Pere et maire, and R.I.S. Police scientifique. In 2012, her role as Skyfall's supporting actress earned her the National Film Society Award for the Best Supporting Artist. She also appeared on the Terrence Malick movie Zoey.
