Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actress. Kellie Martin has appeared in many films and TV series, including "Christy" which is a comedy about a teenage girl called Christy Huddleston. Kellie Martin is most famous for her role as the main character of The Hailey Dean Mystery Series. Martin was born to a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her professional career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who served as an nanny for Michael Landon's children assisted Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". After the time of her Yale University graduation, she began to concentrate on acting and was able to land substantial roles in the film and television industries. Besides being an actress, Martin is an accomplished photographer as well as a dancer. Her sister, who died of Lupus at the age of 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
